Google home speaker group not showing up

Google Home devices typically produce formidable audio. However, some smaller devices like Google Home mini are lacking in this department. This can be particularly frustrating for those who like all the other convenient options of Google Home. For instance, you can play music only using your voice commands and navigate your audio libraries smoothly. Luckily, you can do this fairly easily.

Can You Link Google Home Speakers? (And How To Setup and Edit a Group)

United States of America. Sadly, the Tech Support phone lines seem to keep putting me in an endless loop. So, I am trying here. Until recently, playing music on the 'House' Group has zero issues. Now only the following works:.

All other displays Google and the other Lenovo display the song info as if they are playing. But, no audio. It is odd. Casting from my phone is similar. All devices in the group ding to signal the cast is starting.

But, only a single Lenovo display has audio. It is not always the same Lenovo display. And all other displays show the song's progress without any audio.

It feels like a Lenovo is the first to sync with YouTube music and then nothing syncs audio after that. Are all other devices supposed to sync with the first device that connects to YouTube Music?

To me, it feels like all other devices, including the other Lenovo, are not getting the audio sync info from the first device to sync with YouTube Music.

I isolated this to the Lenovo devices with Google Support. The issue still exists. But, if I pick the music, Artist, Song, Playlist, or Chromecast the sync on all devices seems to fail.

But, only fail when the Lenovo devices are in the speaker group. Any suggestions? Thank you,. Welcome to the Community Forums JohnT. Google's smart home speakers and Chromecasts are great when they work. You can throw any supported content on them and have it play almost instantly, without worrying about hardware compatibility and app availability as you'd have to on set-top boxes or consoles. However, Google's offers are only great when they really do work. That isn't the case for some users, with their Chromecasts and Homes repeatedly disappearing from the Home app, rendering them effectively useless for many cast-enabled apps. The problem boils down to this: For some people, the Home app says that their devices are offline and not available, even though they're perfectly functional when users interact with them directly. This is especially true for Google Homes which react to verbal commands no questions asked, but can't receive casted content from phones. That rules out any usual suspects such as 2.

Common Google Home Issues & How to Fix Them

Hello everyone. I have a Deezer family subscription, and in the Google Home app on Android, I cannot get Deezer to show up in the list of music services. Note that Spotify does show up in the list see screenshot. I really would like to use this because I have a Google Home device and I cannot play music on it if Deezer is not added as a music service in Google Home. Thanks for any clue on this. Whether you have an iPhone or an Android device, here's how to use it with Google Assistant to stream music throughout your home. The Google Nest Audio can work with numerous other Google speakers and third-party Chromecast built-in devices to play multiroom audio. Streaming music is here to stay, but for a lot of us it's stuck on our phones or laptops. Google's Chromecast built-in system enables you to liberate your tunes and play them on devices anywhere in your home or beyond , and even stream audio that follows you from room to room. You can use apps on your phone or simply speak the name of your desired tune out loud. Just try doing that with Bluetooth. You can create groups of multiple devices and send music, news or whatever to any or all of them at the same time, using the Google Home app on your phone or giving voice commands to Google Assistant. The best thing about Chromecast built-in is that it works with virtually every Google audio and video device, as well as a bunch of third-party devices.

Just got a second Nest Audio specifically to use with Speaker Pairing, not the option is not showing up on Google Home. I did a full factory reset on both.

Ben Schoon. A useful feature of Google Assistant speakers and Android TVs is the ability to select a bunch of them to play the same audio simultaneously. Prior to the release of the new Chromecast, Google had been working for some time to enable speaker groups to work with Android TV devices.
