They still produce an unbeatable sound when used with high quality equipment and a pro vinyl record deck. These units have the woofer mounted facing the floor and the 1. The enclosure is a sealed 40 litre pyramid shape and mine were chosen with a teak veneer and black grilles as was popular at the time. These speakers are absolutely original with grilles, drive units and cabling, the veneer is also original and may have faded slightly due to sun, with a few light marks on the original veneer which I have not attempted to clean up. These speakers are in perfect working order and supplied with the original sound deflectors made from some kind of very hard hardboard. Please bear in mind that these are Omni-directional speakers, projecting sound both up and down and this tends to somewhat blend stereo listening into a very natural sound - so the artificially stereo-separated vinyl recorded by pop-songsters of the time will not be prominent unless the speakers are placed very much more than 6 feet apart. The sound deflectors are optionally used under the base to send the deepest sound outwards along the floor, to prevent sound absorption by carpets and reduce the vibration reaching the downstairs flat! This means placing of the speakers is not crucial to get a great sound and works very well indeed with symphonics, groups, solo artistes and is particularly good with most jazz genres including 'big band'.

The LINO series are column speaker series designed for a wide variation of general-purpose applications in acoustic difficult environments, ranging from speech and announcement applications to background music systems. This beam of sound can be heard up to tens of meters away. The listener becomes immersed in music or speech while just steps away no sound can be heard. The audio is delivered to the targeted area with clarity and crucially does not add to any increase in ambient noise within nearby surroundings. Our directional sound speakers work in a completely different way to conventional loudspeakers. Conventional speakers typically produce audible sound waves with a singular, moving electromagnetic cone and coil. Ultrasonic waves possess a shorter wavelength, resulting in a small divergence of a sound beam. This technology is particularly relevant for applications around visitor attraction and in public places where there is the requirement for sound to be directed or contained.
These easy fit ceiling speakers are ideal for main speakers, surround sound or remote speaker applications. The two-way design includes a Ferrofluid cooled silk dome tweeter and Polypropylene woofer with rubber surround to deliver the highest level sonic performance. The adjustable tweeter allows for the high frequencies to be focused in the direction of the listening area, this increases the flexibility when locating the speakers off-axis from the listeners.
