Camara gave a timetable for new AudioControl products due this year including two all-weather micro amplifiers for the marine and powersports market ACX models shipping in November. Powersports will be an important area for AudioControl next year, when more models are introduced. The company will also ship in December new 5-channel amplifiers LC And an LC1i line output converter is due in October. AudioControl has received a LOT more consumer calls during the pandemic.
Our amplifier business is double what it was last year. About half of the parts used are from the US. Fifty people are employed in the AudioControl factory, mainly in Seattle and some in a smaller facility in Spokane.
Camara said the company has ordered big for the fall and winter to keep inventory levels high. The DM-RTA is targeted to sell 2, units, not enough to recoup costs although Camara says the product is still worth it for its utility to dealers.
AudioControl has held over 30 weekly zoom calls during the pandemic, some of which featured guests in sales training and technology training. The average call had about viewers plus additional viewers that watched later. About 40 ZAP presentations have been performed for home and business and now the company is focusing on mobile.
The company originated in making audio mixers and gradually moved into home audio products and then car audio integration and then amplifiers.
What did Camara learn from running both a home and car audio business? We want to see that more in the car.
Very happy to hear they are doing well. US made products and a company that seems to actually care that they output quality. Here is a company that has never wavered from its original goals. From Tom to Alex, the focus has always been the same — deliver a reference product which will stand the test of time. As I type this, the red dots are bouncing away on my C Series Two right here in the office — a unit I purchased new from them in and continues to work flawlessly going on three decades.
Congratulations to Alex and team for providing value recognized by dealers and customers alike. My retailing days are long behind me. But, if I were a retailer, I would most certainly be an Audio Control dealer.

Outstanding condition overall - the condition will please even the most discerning audiophile. Functional Notes: Operational condition of this item is excellent, fully tested and no issues found. Used wisely, it can only improve the final sound, whether you prefer a flat measured response or something else that sounds right to you. The only potential problem with using digital circuitry to separate the various frequency ranges, correct them, and send them to the appropriate drivers, I wrote, was that doing so could require buying not only the digital device, but also bi- or tri-amping your system. In audio, we often talk about the octave between 20 and 40 Hz, for example, or from 1kHz to 2kHz, or 10kHz to 20kHz. My C worked great for what it was. I still have and use it, and highly recommend Audio Control, the company that built it, as great people who build great stuff and fully support their products even after more than twenty years.

If one decides to use an equalizer in the system, is there any consensus as to the best model? Frzninvt 4 posts. For a more advanced type of tone control a 10 band 1 octave EQ will work well but that same EQ would be pretty horrible for other EQ uses. But in the bass that doesn't really have enough resolution either to try to tackle room problems. And with 30 bands it isn't as useful as a type of tone control. For room problems a parametric EQ can work well but they are harder to setup and really don't work well for tone control duties.
Audio Control, true to its name, is a specialist manufacturer of products for controlling or modifying the frequency response of audio systems. For home and car audio, it produces a number of graphic equalizers, signal processors, and real-time spectrum analyzers. The C Series III combines a ten-band octave equalizer with a realtime spectrum analyzer whose frequency bands correspond to those of the equalizer.
