Mesa Boogie Mark Series

After a childhood spent tinkering with electronics big and small, a drummer and saxophonist named Randall Smith started a small music shop called Prune Music with his guitar player just as the music scene in the Bay Area was starting to take off. From the very start, there was more to Mesa than circuits, tubes, and rectifiers.

They are greater than the sum of their parts. After Randall Smith ran out of Princetons to mod, he started building his own amps. His operation expanded, and he pulled a few more revolutionary ideas out of his sleeve like the first channel-switching amp and the Dual Rectifier design, both of which became backbones of American popular music. They still have that mad scientist drive to make their amps better and better, they still use only the finest components, and they still subject each piece of equipment to INSANE levels of testing before it gets the Mesa stamp of approval.

Pushing the EL84 power tubes lets you dial in everything from sweet cleans to roaring leads. The two independent Solo controls allow you to footswitch a preset boost. The Mark Five: 35's first channel has clean, fat, and crunch modes for a wide range of tone. Use the Multi-watt power switch to flip between 10 watts for breakup at lower volumes, 25 watts for more headroom, or 35 watts for the punchiest sound with the most touch response. The powerful mid-boost control is all you need to push your tone to the front of any mix. The Mesa Mark Five: 35 boasts the same spring reverb and Solo controls as its watt big brother.
