The Monarchs kickstarted the offense in the second inning with a single to left field by Ryan Grotjohn and a walk to Anibal Sierra off Explorers starter Patrick Ledet. The third inning saw the Monarchs add to the lead.

Legal Aid of Western Missouri is a non-profit organization that provides a wide range of legal services to low-income Kansas Citians. The Immigration Law Project at Legal Aid represents individuals and their families in immigration cases to evaluate immigration benefit options and the potential to receive a waiver for immigration application fees, if applicable. Legal Aid staff provides comprehensive services and advice to assist individuals and families in obtaining United States citizenship, including those who are applying with a medical disability; residence status for family members; renewing or replacing resident cards for permanent residents; and aiding conditional residents, refugees, and asylees in applying to obtain permanent resident status. Legal Aid also provides assistance to United States citizens in applying for US passports or proof of citizenship status obtained from a US citizen parent. Additionally, Legal Aid works with survivors of violent crimes and domestic violence to provide advice and evaluate immigration benefit options. Legal Aid staff is available for immigration presentations to inform domestic violence shelter caseworkers and other community organizations that assist immigrants. Location: Southwest Blvd.

After its opening was postponed a year — and then another few months — by the COVID pandemic, Waite Park's new amphitheater will open at full capacity for its inaugural season in July.
