Posted by J-W the music man on Sep 27, I've had a pair I use primarily as stage monitors in a four piece band. Nice clarity , all kinds of head room. I also use them as practice speakers.
They are not too heavy, and small enough to carry two easily. I agree, the controls located opposite the carry handle was a booboo. They've gone up in price substantially in the last few years, thus I rated value at 3. They've got roadworthy plywood cabinets.

Also, when I linked the two cabs together in a daisy-chain, there was too much background noise.

I don't think you can get this kind of quality SPL out of any other box at this price point. If I was doing light-DJ work again I'd pair these with a mono sub for smaller venues. Mids really shine with these - they could even serve as a small vocal monitor in a pinch, and are wedged as well.
Bass is definitely "there" - it's punchy and tight, and you can dial in a bit of extra bass if you're inclined. If you need "sooper-bass" I'd recommend a sub though.
