Fatiguing speakers for ipod

Although the connection on top is for an older iPhone and doesn't look hip, you can still connect it to your new iPhone with an adapter and the sound is where this shines. It has no less than 8 speakers! The bass, mid, top all sound pretty good. Since it's the amp section is not that powerful, and the woofers are small, you are not going to be blown away with the sound - rather you will hear music that is enjoyable and non-fatiguing. If you don't mind the non-sexy look of this past unit over a decade old must be , than this will reward in soni c excellence for so little money for that tight spot like kitchen, bedroom, computer desk, what not

VTIN Wireless Bluetooth Speaker Portable IPX6 Waterproof with Extra Bass Classic

That is a fabulous idea for DynaVox! My daughter uses DynaVox with auditory scanning and has the earpillow, but it always falls all over the place. It can be hooked up with headphones, but that is not practical. THe clip ons will be perfect! Chaney, that would be such a perfect use for these mini-speakers! I hope you have an easy time finding them. If that turns out to be a challenge, would you be able to rig up a clip for the pillow speaker or another lightweight personal speaker? I have looked for those exact things without much luck.

I'll be checking our local stores, too. Abby also has difficulty keeping her headphones on. Thanks for sharing. It's perfect for all the reasons you stated.

I'll be sure to keep these and your site in mind for other individuals I come across that could use those. Amelia almost never looks when someone is trying to direct her gaze. She might sneak a peak later. Gina, Thanks for your kind comment and for passing the idea and site along to others. So glad you found us! A, She rarely turns her head right away to look when we comment on things out the window, though sometimes it happens.

More often it is a delayed response and, of course, we have long since passed the site. More often she is likely to look immediately towards environmental sounds Do you find this to be the case at your house? These are fantastic!!

I'll have to look for some. Katera won't tolerate earbuds or headphones, unless someone is right there holding them on. And, we have the "dainty head" thing, too.

For me, the focused sound waves coming into my ears is quite tiring; makes you wonder how kids with any kind of sensory issues handle that. I hope you can find some of these nifty little clip-on speakers locally Ours is a Dollar Tree Store. Their online site didn't list these, but it could be other local Dollar Trees might have them.

I hope so! The down side was the shipping If I find any other sources, I'll post them. Will you do the same? These are working so well for us and there are many other music and audiobook lovers that would benefit from them.

This is just what I need for running! I hate wearing earbuds because I get ear infections. I saw something called Aftershokz that work by bone conduction, but I prefer just clipping these to my collar. Great find. Funakoshi, I have not been able to find these wired mini-speakers for some time now. Have you looked into Bluetooth headphones?

Of course, your device has to send Bluetooth, but it appears the industry is headed this direction. There are Bluetooth wireless headphones over-the-ear style that might work for you without causing ear infections Good luck in your search! Let us know what you find. Post a Comment. Look at these wonderful clip-on speakers! Things that fall off are things she is unable to put back on her head. This matters when you are a teenager. My daughter loves hers. We bought two pairs after all, they were cheap!

Maybe they'll get it back in stock? Nix that. Another company carries an interesting looking design that clips at the shoulder with magnets. These might be an interesting possibility for some kids. Since my daughter has a Vagal Nerve Stimulator, we steer clear of magnets on principle.

The clip-on idea is so perfect. Bose, are you listening??? Have you found any creative headphone solutions for your child? We'd all love to hear about it! Please let us know in the comments box below. Labels: Friday Favorites. Newer Post Older Post Home.

Saleswise, the shining star is the least-complicated type of player: iPod speaker systems. Lacking a radio tuner or a CD player both so 20th century , these compact, attractive, amplified speaker boxes put most of their design attention on cranking up and fine-tuning with "digital signal processing" the output of a docked iPod or iPhone. All so you can listen to your favorite tracks, albums, streaming music services and movie downloads in a more social, sharing way, without having to wear those isolating earphones. And without raising the ire of your "eeww, you're not putting that pile of electronics in my living room" spouse. Almost all iPod speaker systems come with a wireless remote control to at the least skip through tracks, pause play and adjust the volume from across the room. All systems charge the Apple player while it's docked, an important convenience for iPhone users who want to re-energize the battery every night. And, if a call comes in to a connected phone, these devices smartly damp down the music. Some also have a video output, so you can funnel the visuals of a recorded movie to a bigger display. All that is well and good, but how musical could these small speaker systems sound? Good enough to toss your big old rack of stereo components?

Logitech's Si iPod dock. I was determined to keep an open mind upon receiving Logitech's latest iPod goody, the Si rechargeable dock. However, all semblance of rational thought vanished as I got busy unboxing the Si, reinforcing my positive opinions as it's plastic body delivered dull inert thuds to my rapping it, suggesting a well-braced and solidly-built portable speaker case that could finally pull some half decent audio off of my iPod. Audio performance The first thing that struck me about the Si was it's petite size - a mere

iMainGo X Ultra-Portable Speaker and Case for iPod/iPhone Review

A few MP3 players have tiny speakers, but they usually produce a tiny sound. Portable Sound Laboratories, Inc. I asked Julie if I could give it a try when the folks at Portable Sound offered one for review. Technical Specifications Speakers: Extra large 37mm premium high output stereo Output: 2. The iMainGo X case is covered in what seems to be a synthetic, knitted black fabric. Under the fabric, the case is very hard, so it should be very protective.

I think it's the type of distortion that's important not strictly how much there is , Valve amps usually produce 2nd harmonic distortion. Bright nasty tweeters which on first hearing can seem to provide clarity and detail end up shortening listeng sessions and lengthening the time between them.

Robot or human?

So along with good headphones see our headphones buying guide , a new set of speakers is one of the most rewarding audio upgrades you can give your gear. So how do you choose? Because no standardized testing methodology exists for speakers, many vendors exaggerate specs—often laughably so—making them essentially worthless.
