Revv really need to get the Footswitch for the G20 released, as the midi functionality of the amp is far from straight forward. June Many thanks for that! I ended up with a G20 after all. It really does sound perfect for me. Luckily there was a guy on the Revv Facebook group based in the UK who was looking for a trade on his G He was after a D So we swapped amps.
In the mean time I got hold of a HX effects. I managed to implement the midi switching on the amp using the HX pretty easily. I can switch channels on the amp, hurrah!! Im also running the amp via the direct out back into the HX effects. So I can get all my stereo effects etc. Running into my studio monitors it sounds amazing. There is a gain boost that can be activated by pulling out the gain knob. It does have a decent amount of gain available. I know TN worked hard and took a long time to get them to sound right with the amp.
I actually got my G20 from a guy who works at TN and he told me it was a long process, he said they and the guys at Revv were very proud of what they achieved. January Just picked up a 2nd one of these after I foolishly sold the 1st. However this one has taken a bump in shipping as one of the brackets that holds the transformer in place on top of the chassis has bent, so the transformer is rattling around inside the casing.

Revv Amplification Amps
The G20 joins its counterpart, the D20, in being one of the first amps to feature integrated Two notes Torpedo cab simulation and switchable internal reactive load. Other features of the amp include the ability to switch channels, voices and the Two notes settings via MIDI or an optional preset footswitch. The Reactive Load also auto-engages in the absence of a speaker to preserve amp tube integrity. Like the D20, the G20 is all about versatility. The amp comes pre-loaded with six fully customisable virtual cabinets and offers up to Torpedo presets via MIDI. A three-band EQ, volume and gain controls, 3 Aggression level and a Wide switch provide an even greater variety of tones when paired with the virtual EQ, cabinet and mic settings.
