Students plan and participate in various activities throughout the year to build an "I've got your back" culture at Cedar Crest. The Byte Club focuses on Computer Science development outside of the classroom. It also emphasizes improving and reinforcing the skills that are taught in the classroom related to technology.

High School Organizations

The British Youth Council have acknowledged the excellent work to promote and engage students in democracy taking place at Liskeard School. Liskeard are only one of sixty schools nationally to receive the Discovering Democracy Award and the only school in Cornwall. This is in recognition of the work students have been doing in PHSCE as well as the numerous events held over the last twelve months such as a mock general election, youth parliament election and having outside speakers such as Lord Teverson, a peer in the House of Lords, come into school to speak to students. Most recently fifty Year 8 students visited the Houses of Parliament for a debating workshop and a tour.

That's why he decided to put on a boys retreat after receiving a grant from TakingITGlobal, a group that helps youth address issues that matter to them in their communities. He is one of two teens from Cornwall who received the grant. Fourteen-year-old Destiny Francis also applied. Destiny decided to purchase bags and fill them with toiletries, snacks and grooming products to deliver to those in need.
