Please look at all 18 pictures. This type AG was build in the early sixties and is in perfect working condition. Very nice cabinet. I checked out this amp , signal capacitors are the famous beige Philips Mullard cap's the ones who never leak! This amp is still factory original. Very nice and well build amplifier! From the era when amp's where still handbuilded. All potmeters and switches are cleaned to run this amp perfect and smootly. All tubes are also tested. The outputpower will be about 15watt per channel.
It's a multi voltage unit works from See picture. Commes with all the connection cables and a copy of the service manual with schematic's. Please look at my other auctions for more of this!

Both mum and baby girl are doing fine and we are trying to adjust to the new lifestyle. It will be probably for another 4 months so best to get the most out of them. Above is the response with internal loopback at 1Vrms on the 2Vrms scale of the SC interface. The distortion is really good below 0. With the balanced input and outputs the noise level is really low.

I fully understand why the thought of getting rid of the large and expensive output transformer emerged. The famous and best known amplifiers by Futterman were based upon pentodes as output tubes. User Name Stay logged in? As Tweeker said. That circuit was there for a while using Philips ohm loudspeakers as counter-performance to the "vicious" uquibitious output transformer of the day. As I recall, it did not stay for long - the loudspeakers did not 'make it'. As for EL86, they are rather similar to the EL84, but not so sensitive needing a somewhat higher g1 drive voltage. They had a higher maximum plate voltage V , and was mainly employed in voltage regulators of the day.

Like the Simple SE, the project is geared toward novices and utilizes a simple design and detailed instructions to help achieve a high probability of success. The prospective builder need only supply transformers, tubes, a chassis, and the various bits that tie it all together jacks, wire, etc. The amplifier design is based on the tried-and-true classic simplified Williamson. The only other choices are direct substitutes, such as the and the Russian 6P14P variants. Current production JJ tubes seem to be able to handle the higher voltages without issue. However the operating requirements of these tubes are very different from the EL84 such that entirely different power and output transformers are required.
At the time this manual was written, the Tubelab SPP has only been tested as a stand alone push pull amplifier. This means that a single SPP board is used with one power transformer and two output transformers to make a stereo HiFi amplifier. Other optional components like a filter choke or supplemental power supply capacitor may be added. I have done preliminary testing on using the board in single channel mono block configuration. This means that a single SPP board is used with one power transformer and one output transformer to make a single channel amplifier with higher the same power output as both channels combined on the stereo version.
I have always been interested in OTL amplifiers. Vacuum tubes have excellent bandwidth and low distorsion without global feedback and resistance coupled tube amplifiers as used in pre-amps often don't use any feedback at all, as an example the distorsion of a resistance coupled 12AX7 with kohm anode resistance and V plate voltage is only 0. For power amplifiers a normal speaker is usually not directly connected to the output tubes, normal output tubes are high impedance devices that need to be connected to a load impedance in the kohm range to give high power.
