Vintage Rogers Here is a vintage Rogers Ravensbourne stereo integrated amplifier which was in a sorry state when I acquired it.
I have rebuilt the output stage using nos Tesla output transistors, replaced the failing mains transformer with a modern toroidal and replaced the 2 x uf worn out power smoothing capacitors with 4 x uf high quality new ones.
It has, as a bonus a MM Disc phono input stage with sensitivity switch. The old din speaker sockets have also been replaced to accept modern 4mm banana plugs or bare wire connectors. As you can see from the schematics this amp uses a transformer as a driver in the power amp stage, fairly unusual nowadays, normally only found in the likes of single ended valve amps.
Sounds very good and looks classy. So good for another 40 years.
