F30 subwoofer go

Remember Me? But I just read about the Bavsound Revenant amp. So, any advice on whether the amp upgrade would create anywhere near as much bass as a separate sub in the trunk like I'm looking at? If the amp would, I'd consider paying up bc it'd obvi also meaningfully enhance the rest of my stock speakers at the same time. Appreciate 0. Lieutenant General.

GHOST BMW UNDERSEAT SUBWOOFER UPGRADE

Remember Me? Lieutenant Colonel. Any one install 5. Did some reading about the fronts being able to take a 5. Just afraid there will not be enough midbass through a 4" speaker.

I am going with MB quarts, the reference series depth is Appreciate 0. Find More Posts by mineo Second Lieutenant. From what i have read the speakers in the hifi and premium hifi systems are fairly decent and only really require a better amplifier to get more out of them.

In my car however i have the basic 6 speaker system so i am going for a total new system since i can't be stuffed hacking into the wires and clips and taking trim parts apart twice.

At the moment i people decide they have to change the speakers the 2 most mentioned options which will definately have a large improvement are the Morel don't know which specific product and Focal KRS splits. I had mb quart rce's in my old car and that was by far the best speaker i have ever installed in a car so i am partial to mbquart.

I almost bought some myself, but i was informed that they are not as good as they used to be. Originally Posted by JMH Originally Posted by mineo You are correct, in they were bought and YES they are not suppose to be nearly as good as they use too.

I was looking at "new" old stock mb quart but they are hard to find so it looks like i am now looking elsewhere. Just went to a stereo shop here and they guy said our doors will take 5. I will keep you posted, i am searching the crap out of the internet looking for speakers!! Brigadier General. Let us know what you end up installing and what type of modifications if any had to be made. I have an appointment with an installer tomorrow morning to see what exactly can be done, will let you know how it all goes!

Private First Class. Very useful thread gang, please keep the updates coming! I plan to tweak the 6-speaker system somewhat. WHat are you guys doing for subs, especially in the "standard" audio system where the subs are only 6. I am keeping the 6.

Thanks in advance guys! I am keeping my stock HU, adding 2 amps and a sound processor audiocontrol lc6i. Originally Posted by bmwfan. BMW uses 3 mounting holes. As the midbass drivers under the seat is not the best for imaging, running the 5. Ok, got back from my installer I used to work for them today and good news! A spacer will need to be used, but shouldn't be a problem. I am most likely going to use a Alpine PDX 2. Possibly using the Alpine processor equivalent of the Audison unit can't remember the model off the top of my head. Will bypass the subs under the seat and probably not use the rear speakers either.

I am looking to install them in my spare time, yet if an adaptor plate has to be made i might get that made by my engineers to ensure i keep the car in top quality condition free of any extra rattles or damage. What material did you use? Cheers, J. Attached Images. You obviously know more than me if you used to be an installer, but I found the 4" Focals were as deep as you want to go.

I think you can fit 5" if they are no deeper. I like my underseat woofer, much more upfront bass, and my sub is purely for sub bass. Sound much better than having all the bass coming front the trunk, IMO.

Sweet stuff guys.. This will be a great resource. Originally Posted by ptack. Major General. Cant be more than 50mm deep, there are a few speakers out there in 5. BMW F30 328i Speaker & Subwoofer Upgrade — The Complete Guide (320i, 335i, ...)

Remember Me? Enhanced Sound- No Bass Sound! User Name Remember Me? Lieutenant Colonel. Enhanced Premium Sound,- all of a sudden all Base just disappeared, it seems the Subwoofers are not working. Anyone had or experienced this problem?

Bmw f30 no sound from speakers

Depending on your audio system, your factory BMW woofers come in 2, 4, or 8 Ohm impedance. If you need, please contact with us. Your factory underseat woofers aren't just subwoofers, they're midbass drivers. That means they play not just the lowest frequencies, but also "punchy" midbass frequencies like snare drums and high bass guitar notes. Unlike our woofers, which are designed to outperform the factory woofers for both subwoofer and midbass frequencies, other underseat subwoofer upgrades on the market are only capable of playing sub frequencies, not midbass, so you miss a huge portion of the frequency range.

The BMW 3 series is a good compact sedan for a premium audio upgrade. The car has a total of between 8 to 14 speaker slots which are evenly distributed in the car, majority of them being in front, to give the driver and co-passenger a rich and clear music experience. Due to this configuration, even the basic built speakers in the non-HK premium variant do sound pretty good to passive listeners or beginners. BMW have designed the front stage front speaker setup in such a way that brings good lows bass right up front without causing any long-term rattling on the door pads. The base variant does not come with the door tweeters and center channel dash mount speakers.

I thought I blew my subwoofer… Keyword there is thought.

Seller: visual. Welcome to my listing! Check the pic of bare boot. Why buy this over a wooden alternative? Also note similar mdf alternatives have a flat face and the rear is made to fit as good as possible, not perfect - these both decrease mounting depth potential and they have small volumes limiting subs that can be used.

The audio system in the F30 3-Series is slightly different from that in the previous E90 sedans. The amplifier is the same as far as power-per-speaker, but there is an added channel for a mono center channel. No drilling, no cutting, no modifications to the vehicle.
