Joined Dec 8, Messages 6, Reaction score 9, I've finally come to terms with selling my Holy Grail amp, an original Fender Vibrolux Reverb in excellent condition, with the most highly coveted original Jensen C10q speakers. He replaced the power tubes with a matched pair of Tung-Sols, checked the bias, cleaned the connections, and pronounced it perfect!

The only very minor issue is that the footswitch will not usually engage if you push it with your fingers, it needs a solid stomp with some weight behind it to switch every time. Everything is completely original transformers, footswitch, highly coveted speakers except: 1. New filter caps 2. Tubes 3.

Its strength lies in the sweetness and early breakup caused by the smaller transformers than the Super Reverb, Vibroverb and Pro Reverb. A blackface Vibrolux with a pair of gold and red labeled Jensen C10q is just a fantastic amp. Bump, I'm willing to drive up to 1. Feel free to make a reasonable offer, the worst I can do is say no. I don't think that I could go any lower, unless for a local pickup.

Fender Blackface Vibrolux Reverb

Well recently I found a great deal on a Fender Blackface Vibrolux amp. This amp is known to be great for playing gigs, due to the wattage and amount of clean headroom you can get as well as the natural overdrive that can be obtained. All I can say is wow! Of all the classic amps Fender has logged over the years, the Vibrolux Reverb is frequently cited as the best all-round, grab-and-go gigging combo. It also brings together a whole bundle of specs that make it perfect for just about any gig or studio date that requires such timeless attributes. Whereas many similar amps put out 45 to 50 watts from the same pair of tubes, the Vibrolux Reverb generates about 35 watts. This makes it far more manageable than, say, a Super Reverb or a Twin Reverb. The Jensen C10Qs are the favored model, but the Oxford 10L5 speakers found in many examples are also highly regarded.
