At first I wired up everything I did in my previous head unit on other cars. I got noticed that I got to the point in the blue wire to get the amp in my limited to power up. Got some sound but it is very thin and super low at max volume. It is not listable. Something is wrong.

Then I noticed the sticky threads from the US forums. Do I need to interchange the wires with the red or the yellow? I tried the latter and now my headunit does not even power up. Please help me. If you used chinch out, next step should be checking if you configured a full-range signal in the AVH NEX as output signal. Do I need this? I used this harness with the chinch out rca? Will this make the Amp work? As said above the Infinity amp was designed to get 2x 40 watts from the Infinity radio as an input. The infinty amp was designed to get 2x 40 watts as an input signal. Else you need an 2x 40 watts amplifier with chinch in. And than you connect the speaker out of that amp to the Infinity amp. I know it sounds crazy, that you need an amp to power an amp, but the Infinity amp has high power inputs only.

It's weird because someone with the same head unit said they used the chinch of the head unit straight through the stock amp. It says that my headunit output is 4v. I don't understand why it would need a power amp. It also says that the built in amplifier outputs 50w.

Hi Alex, so somebody said something on the internet. Wow, i'm impressed. As said above, the Infinity radio output is 40 watts. The input sensitivity of the Infinity amp is designed for 40 watts. I plug it on the harness? Isn't it hooked up to the amp already?

I don't know how you've wired the Pioneer head unit to the Infinity amp in detail. You know what you did. I'm not a clairvoyant. I said that won't work and you have to connect the head unit speaker outputs to the amps input. So, what exactly is your problem? Where are the amp inputs?

Where is the amp? I plugged the rca with the rca of the harness. No need to be a clairvoyant. The Infinity amp only has inputs for 2 channels. You've connected the rca outputs to the amps inputs. So just connect the power amp outputs to the same inputs you've connected the rca outputs to. I don't need a power amp. It works now. My head unit has a built in amp has specified earlier. If it is two channel only?

Is it usually powering the rear speakers only? The Infinity amp is a 6 channel amp with 2 inputs. The other 4 channels go to the subs in the rear. The subs are double coil speakers, so every coil get its own output channel. The Infinity amp has an integrated processor with an active crossover. So it handles the frequency crossover for the subs and the front speakers.

The front speakers are a 2 way system. The tweeters are cut off by a simple cheap 4. So defintely no rocket science there. Just do me a favour, use google translator and read this: Carhifi im Chrysler Crossfire.

I've bemoaned the lack of originality in valve amps more than once in this august publication. So having spent a lot of time reviewing, and owning various Single-Ended of course b amps, I've decided my next quest is to chase up the alternatives, whether they are less well known 'classic' valves or part of the new-wave of modern variations on the theme.
