Soohyun Ahn was born in Seoul, South Korea. She studied at the Seoul National University where she received her Bachelor degree.

In September she moved to Germany in order to study in the masterclass of Prof. At the International Sperger Competition Soohyun received a special prize. In she started studying at the orchestra academy of the Munich Philharmonic and in she became solo bassist at the Dresden Philharmonic. Louis Schwizgebel now lives in London.
