Explain frequency response of rc coupled amplifier
Remember me. Explain the frequency response curve of a RC coupled amplifier. The frequency response curve of a typical RC coupled Amplifier is shown below:. In mid frequency range 50 Hz to 20KHz ,the voltage gain of the amplifier is constant, as is from the analysis. With the increase in the frequency in this range, the reactance of the coupling capacitor Cc reduces thereby increasing the gain but at the same time lower capacitive reactance causes higher loading resulting in lower voltage gain. Thus the two effects cancel each other and uniform gain is obtained in mid frequency range.

Circuit Diagram of RC coupled amplifier. Capacitor prevents the flow of DC current through the load. Bypass Capacitor C E is connected to prevent a decrease in voltage gain. Explanation: When amplifiers are analyzed at low frequencies, the effect of large capacitors is considered in the analysis. Effect of large capacitors at medium and high frequencies are short-circuited. The effect of these capacitors is considered in low-frequency analysis. Also, to analyze the effect of anyone capacitor, one capacitor is considered at a time and other capacitors are ignored.
Hence statement 1 given is true. At High-frequency analysis. Hence statement 2 given is true. At medium frequency analysis, large capacitors appear to be short-circuited and small capacitors appear to open-circuited, Hence their effect is not considered at medium frequency. Frequency Response of RC Coupled Amplifier
As the prominence of audio, video and other broadcasting technologies are enhancing day-by-day. There have to be certain amplification ranges to increase the quality and effectivity of the broadcasting signals. In the scope of this, the first amplification device that came into existence was a triode vacuum tube in the year There come many devices used for this cause and those are transistors, multistage amplifiers, and RC coupled amplifiers. As because of the few shortcomings in the RC coupled amplifier , the transformer-coupled amplifier got introduced.

What is the effect on amplifier circuit if RE is removed?
In the previous Sections on amplifiers, the effects of the input frequency on an amplifier's operation due to capacitive elements in the circuit were neglected in order to focus on other concepts. The coupling and bypass capacitors were considered to be ideal shorts and the internal transistor capacitances were considered to be ideal opens. This treatment is valid when the frequency is in an amplifier's midrange. As you know, capacitive reactance decreases with increasing frequency and vice versa. When the frequency is low enough, the coupling and bypass capacitors can no longer be considered as shorts because their reactances are large enough to have a significant effect. Also, when the frequency is high enough, the internal transistor capacitances can no longer be considered as opens because their reactances become small enough to have a significant effect on the amplifier operation.

Amplification is a process of increasing the signal strength by increasing the amplitude of a given signal without changing its characteristics. An RC coupled amplifier is a part of a multistage amplifier wherein different stages of amplifiers are connected using a combination of a resistor and a capacitor. An amplifier circuit is one of the basic circuits in electronics. An amplifier that is completely based on the transistor is basically known as a transistor amplifier. The input signal may be a current signal, voltage signal, or a power signal. An amplifier will amplify the signal without changing its characteristics and the output will be a modified version of the input signal.
RC coupled amplifier is a basic type of amplifier with the various stages present in it. These are the basic circuits that are present in the various types of electronic equipment especially in RF signal or other communication devices as it helps in improving the signal strength through amplification. An amplifier with the multiple stages based on the necessary levels of amplification can be defined as an RC coupled amplifier. It can be connected in any transistor configurations based on the efficiency of the system. It is widely used in audio and video communication devices.
Hello fellows, I hope you all are doing great. For capacitively coupled amplifier if signal frequency is less than critical value then there will be an effect on voltage gain and phase shift. At less value of frequency, the reactance of the coupling capacitor becomes sufficient which causes a decrement in voltage gain and increment in phase shift.
In this something is I like this idea, I completely agree with you.
Great!
Granted, this thought just got by the way
but in general it's funny.
