The Budman's Photos. Diagram for 12" Subwoofer Box. A few people have asked me for some measurements for the subwooferbox I built. Here is a crude diagram I made. Units are in inches and are aproxamate, and the dimentions are exterior measurements. Keep in mind the box will fix snugly in the floor space, but it will fit.

User Name Remember Me? August 10th, , I've seen several sub enclosures for our XJ's that fit in the cubby passenger rear to take up little space but have never seen any diagrams for them. Does anyone know of a how-to or diagrams for building a good sub box? Lot's of them out there I don't need or want earth shacking bass Say a good 8" or 10" tight sub. Johnnie Walker.
How to Build a Subwoofer Box for Two 10 Inch Subwoofers (8 Steps)
Vehicle interiors have limited space which makes them non-optimal for big bass. To give our customers the hardest hitting subwoofer experience possible we developed the DD Box to make designing a proper enclosure for your DD Subwoofers quick and easy. In order to get the most bass performance from the available space we needed to think outside of the normal box, so we took a different design approach than some other subwoofer manufacturers. Instead of engineering our subwoofers then designing boxes around them, we engineered a high efficiency type of ported box then designed our subwoofers to optimize the box energy. We decided to base our box design efforts around the tuning range of 35Hz — 40Hz which allows the substage to be very effective in the frequency range that provides listeners with the most impact.

When things shake or vibrate , they make sounds we can hear in the world around us. Sound is invisible most of the time, but sometimes you can actually see it. If you see a speaker cone diaphragm when it is turned on, you can notice the cone moving up and down very quickly. Due to this rapid movement of cone the sound waves are generated.
If you want to add some bass punch to your vehicle, a pair of inch subwoofers can put the audio firepower you're looking for into your car. Two inch subs provide plenty of surface space to move the air you need for big bass. An important part of the system is a solid, well-constructed box to house the subs. With basic materials and tools, you can build a box that'll complement your subs and let them do their work. Measure and cut two end panels from the MDF with a circular saw. The panels should measure 14 by 14 inches.
