Our academy provides a comprehensive range of music courses for students of all ages, including children, youth and adults. Our team of qualified teachers guide our academy students through the graded examinations as well as the diploma levels, also for students who prefer to learn for leisure. The classes are conducted in our studios, which are all air-conditioned, spacious and brightly lit to ensure a comfortable teaching and learning experience. Our dedicated team of music teachers are highly qualified with many years of experience in teaching as well as in performance.
All our music teachers have valid Working with Children Checks, which are up-to-date with details kept on the record at the academy administration. The teachers at Crescendo Music are very patient and professional with their students. They are very encouraging when a student, my young son, for instance, complains about a bad week of practice at home. He has attended guitar lessons elsewhere but has finally settled down at Crescendo Music as he enjoys the fun atmosphere while learning a mixture of Classical and popular music.
We initially went to the music shop to purchase a ukulele and some percussion instruments for my young children. But later, we visited their music studios — so spacious, clean and well-lit!
We also enquired about their music lessons and right there, we enrolled 3 of my children on the same day itself.
It has only been one term of lessons so far, but now my children are already playing ensemble pieces together. Music makes the atmosphere at home even homier. As an adult student, it is very difficult to maintain motivation across my hectic daily routines but I do not have any trouble picking up my violin to practice. My violin teacher at Crescendo Music constantly encourages me and helps me set new goals to achieve.
The music admin staff are really supportive and caring as well; they always ask about my week, how my violin playing is going, and they also listen to my thoughts on the positive impact music has had on my lifestyle. We were allowed to attend the first lesson before committing to the rest of the term as we were unsure whether my daughter would be interested in learning the cello.
And it was really good. My daughter has spent her first term at Crescendo Music with consistent and good practice sessions at home, and we can clearly see her progress. My teenage boy has been attending piano lessons at Crescendo Music for the past six months. The quality of the teaching is exceptional with real music teachers teaching proper music theory.
No shortcuts to musical knowledge and techniques and it is great to see how the teachers adapt the material to suit the various age groups of students they take on at the music school.
The students are taught to read music the authentic and proper way. My daughter has greatly benefited from the method Crescendo Music teachers use and is now a pretty good sight-reader! Each year, we look forward to the End-of-Year Christmas concert performances by the students of Crescendo Music.
The management and music teachers put in a tremendous amount of effort. As parents, we can see the wonderful results and improvements every year. The music teachers are so dedicated, friendly and encouraging that I have now enrolled both of my daughters for flute and violin lessons at Crescendo Music.
The music teachers are doing a great job instilling the love of music in my children. A proud mum like me always shares videos of her girls playing music duets.

The Los Angeles Board of Education has voted to shut down six charter schools accused of cheating on standardized tests. The board made the decision on Tuesday to close the schools, citing the improprieties and an insufficient response to the allegations, the Los Angeles Times reported today.
