May 1, 7, Quad Cities, IL. I'm riding in a BMW i and the center speaker is blown. This is a common issue but I didn't see any images online for what the grill looks like when removed. The grill has plastic clips at each corner and the center on long edges. I started in the middle and worked my fingers around, carefully applying pressure upwards until they released slowly. The clips are unique, see below. A Torx bit and 90 deg adapter will be needed to remove the driver.
This model has Navi. Feb 1, 11, WI. Nice, appreciate that. Cold weather to be messing with plastics! Looks like a decent driver. ITT or something? What will replace it? Don't tell me That driver is really nice, very rugged with decent low end. If you want the same bass quality with a more refined top end and an amazingly even polar response, I highly recommend this driver.

Looking to get standard crappy speakers replaced with something with a bit more quality. Anyone have any ideas on just a simple plug and play option that just requires a simple swap over and no need for an amp or rewiring. If anyone has done such an upgrade would appreciate some brand names and model numbers. There are others like Bavsound but you'll be paying import duty for those from the US. That's right.

Remember Me? Any body got a walk through on how to take out the bang and Oufson top speaker? The silver wrap inside the speaker is bubbled up so I want to fix it up.
