Salk Sound SongTower QWT Floorstanding Speakers
On the contrary, the sound was superb. Detailed highs, well-defined soundstage, and tightly controlled bass: all come together in the Song 3 for a sound which could match the quality of other speakers at AXPONA that were many times more expensive. New drivers offering high performance for low cost are one of the major keys to the how Salk Sound is able to offer this much bang-for-the-buck.
The Song 3 possesses a true 33 Hz extension, courtesy of the large ported section of the cabinet combined a new bass driver that remarkably manages both high sensitivity and a low resonant frequency while keeping a nicely linear response. The lower placement of the bass driver on the front baffle minimizes cancellations caused by acoustic reflections rebounding off of the floor out of phase with the direct sound, so a smoother frequency response in bass frequency bands can be had at the listening position.
The bass driver itself employs a number of design choices for higher fidelity at low frequencies: light but stiff Egyptian Papyrus fiber cone, a copper sleeve on the pole piece for reduced inductance, and an aerodynamically vented chassis for reduced compression. There is a lot more to the Song 3 than just bass.
The Song 3 can be had in any of the standard Salk finishes of the higher-end Salk speakers with no increase in price, which makes these an even greater bargain considering the high level of craftsmanship of even the standard Salk finishes.

In recent months, audiophiles have been raving about an Internet-direct speaker manufacturer, Salk Signature Sound. The SoundScape line includes the SoundScape 8, 10 and 12 floor-standing speakers the numbers coordinate with the dual eight-inch, single inch and single inch woofer, contained in their respective cabinets , as well as the C center channel and M7 mini-monitor. Its driver array includes one RAAL ribbon tweeter, one three-inch Accuton midrange driver, and one custom inch long-throw woofer. Two passive, horizontally opposed, side-firing radiators help reduce cabinet vibrations and port noise.

As the name implies, the Song3 is a vented 3—way member of the Song loudspeaker family. The 4" midrange driver, with a bamboo fiber reinforced cone and neodymium magnet, is complemented by a 7. The sound on our brief visit was mesmerizingly clean. The Soundscape 8 and Fet Valve pair had an easy authority that rivaled some of the best at the show. We intended to get back to this room to listen more, but the constant press of people made that difficult. We decided that more potential customers should hear these speakers sold direct than two freshman show reporters.

David, aka Grumpy, needs our help. Great news. David is home! It was quite the ordeal to get him home and into the house, but it is done. Thank you to everyone for their support. Now a long road ahead to get him back on his feet and functioning normally. I have started a GoFundMe to help with the medical bills.
Salk SongTower QWT Floorstanding Speaker Review
These are spectacular speakers, but I've found my hobbies are trending to other areas than audio lately, so I'd like to see these go to a good home. Local pick up only. The front baffle is a full 2" thick and the remainder of the cabinet walls are 1" thick. It is a very substantial cabinet.

Good afternoon to all visitors to this beautiful blog. I also want to contribute to the whole history of positive reviews. Like all other users of this blog, I am completely satisfied with absolutely everything (which is quite rare, since I am a teacher by profession). The speed of work, navigation, a conventionally understood interface and a whole sea of ??positive information are my favorite environment. Today I am the first time on this site, but I am ready to become an active user of it. I will be glad to everyone who will support me and will also use this blog day after day.
Thanks for the valuable information. I took advantage of this.
