Robin Vos ordered to turn over election probe records
AP - The top Republican in the Wisconsin Assembly, who ordered an investigation into the presidential election, said Tuesday that more subpoenas may be needed and that the work could stretch into Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul sued last week in an attempt to block the subpoena.
A judge on Monday set a Dec. Kaul did not immediately return a message seeking comment. The nonpartisan Legislative Audit Bureau released its much-anticipated review of the election on Friday, making 48 recommendations and possible law changes to improve how elections are run, including adopting rules on whether ballot boxes should be allowed and whether missing information on absentee ballot envelopes should be filled in by election workers.
On Monday, Senate Republican leaders said they were launching their own investigation in response to the audit, even as multiple Republican lawmakers said it showed that elections were safe and secure.
A spokesman for the elections commission did not immediately return a message seeking comment. President Joe Biden won Wisconsin by more than 20, votes, a result that has withstood recounts, court challenges and the audit bureau review which found no widespread fraud.

Republicans knew that fewer voters meant a better chance to solidify the conservative majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. In other words, Vos risked the lives of Wisconsinites for an electoral advantage.

Washington CNN Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, a Republican, wore a mask, gloves and other protective gear as he sought to assure voters it was "incredibly safe" to vote in person for Tuesday's election amid the coronavirus pandemic. Vos said he was serving as an election inspector and that wearing the personal protective equipment , or PPE, was mandatory. Standing in front of cars lined up for curbside voting, Vos said people working at polling locations and those voting in person face "very minimal exposure. Vos' message was strikingly disconnected from his PPE-heavy outfit, in which the speaker looked more like a surgeon than one of the state's most powerful politicians. Vos did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
AP — A judge said Friday that Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has 10 days to turn over records about a secretive review of the election that Republicans have been conducting for months. Dane County Circuit Judge Valerie Bailey-Rihn accused Vos of trying to hide records by changing who was technically responsible for the information. She ordered Vos to provide records that were created between May and late August. It was the same order Bailey-Rihn issued in October when she told Vos he could either release the records or come back in another month and state his case.
