It's a cut DynacoW per piece. I have a nuisance of it from September Amateur in aboutand they were that it was a cabinet amp, but too cloying for what it was a little minor modification of a beautifully priced amp. Scattered state, by cb for the era, but no Krell. If it's practical enough, it might be a gruff, but I'd be very to bet you could get a more balanced Hafler with similar power adapters and better THD for about the same money. I can't say I've ever undertaken the Van Alstine mods for thebut an unmodified is a little respectable amp.

New choke and bias circuit. Original chassis and cover. New RCA input jacks. This is one jazzy piece of West Coast Audio. It sounds really nice!
Original power cord is still nice. This restored Dynaco is 35 watts per channel and the amp looks fantastic. It sounds buttery smooth, has a warm and sparkly sweet tone.
Made in the USA with pride. Please keep in mind this amp is electronically restored but uses its original transformers and original chassis and cover from Please review photos carefully and ask questions before you buy. The bias resistors and a few other resistors under the chassis were still right on spec so the were kept. All tubes include their original boxes - tubes are all brand new, purchased just for this restoration.
Original chassis is hand polished, still shows some oxidation and has typical marks but it is nice. Cage has a few typical signs of use, imperfections.
Original power cord and solid core wiring is all still very nice, new power switch installed. Sounds like heaven, works like new, it's pretty easy to look at too, if you didn't already notice.

The channels can be paralleled for a full 70 watts of low distortion output, suitable for practically any monophonic use even where several loudspeakers are in use in different areas.
The high power capability and low internal impedance provide excellent damping for all types of high quality speaker systems without need to make adjustments to match specific speaker installations. The design features of your Dynakit which contribute to its superior listening quality include some which are not revealed by the customary steady-state laboratory measurements. For example, it does not exhibit bounce and flutter when pulsed with a transient signal.
Thus a sharp percussive signal like a drum beat or a piano note will be reproduced with sharpness and clarity and neither overhang nor muddiness. The Stereo 70, unlike many other amplifier circuits, has been designed to provide its specified performance on a loudspeaker load, not just under laboratory measuring conditions.
Therefore, the connection of a loudspeaker to the amplifier does not deteriorate its performance or listening quality. In addition, due to the high quality of the output transformers used, the Dynakit's power handling capabilities are maintained over the entire audio band without the sharp rise in distortion which characterizes most amplifiers at the extremes of high and low frequencies.

The Dynaco Stereo is an all silicon transistor basic power amplifier for use with separate preamplifiers such as the Dynaco PAT-4 or PAT-5, or for use with tape recorders or tuners such as the FM-5 or AF-6, which have their own volume controls. The unit contains two 60 watt amplifiers on one chassis with a common power supply. Although the Stereo is a solid state device, containing transistors and similar semiconductors, it has been designed to be used under normal conditions without special safety precautions, just as if it were a high grade tube amplifier. Thus it can be connected to source and speaker components and used with confidence in all conventional arrangements. There are no circuit breakers, speaker fuses, or other resettable devices to impede the use of the Stereo under any reasonable conditions of use or abuse. This is achieved by using novel circuits on which patents are pending which automatically and instantly protect the amplifier. Frequency response: 5Hz to kHz.
