Either it's ear splitting mid-range or treble and fizzy. I expect mids with Marshall but it's just too harsh.
I guess it doesn't match my playing style. You may like it, but not for me. Not sure what to think about it yet. To me it sounds completely harsh, but it could be that I'm using a new cab, that isn't broken in yet. I will have to wait until I can get over to the studio and hook it up to a grungy old 4x I used to have an '86 Silver Jubilee that I loved. Either I haven't been able to dial it in correctly yet just tried for the first time today , but so far it seems much harsher, than I remember.
The eq is very sensative and it's on the trebbly side. Not a fan of the clipping feature. I believe the amp is self biasing so it shouldn't be an issue.
I'll update after I try with a different cabinet and dial in the right sound and try a tube swap. As of now I'm on the fence and it may be CL or eBay fodder. I love this amp I love this amp! Small package, huge tone. No reverb, but it has an effects loop for your favorite pedal which I actually prefer.
