The OPA provides a new level of performance in very low-power, wideband, current feedback amplifiers. This CFBplus amplifier is among the first to use an internally closed-loop input buffer stage that enhances performance significantly over earlier low-power CFB amplifiers. While retaining the benefits of very low power operation, this new architecture provides many of the advantages of a more ideal CFB amplifier. The closed-loop input stage buffer gives a very low and linearized impedance path at the inverting input to sense the feedback error current.

A novel digital predistortion DPD technique is proposed to linearize ultra-broadband millimeter wave mmWave power amplifiers PAs by only employing very limited bandwidth resources for the Tx, feedback loop FB , and baseband BB. Compared to the conventional methods, the proposed method will comprehensively reduce the bandwidth requirements for the whole system, which will make the linearization affordable for mmWave PAs. The fifth-generation 5G communication systems have gradually attracted more and more attentions from both academia and industry. However, this change will place a huge burden on RF circuit design, especially for the linearization of ultra-broadband mmWave power amplifiers PAs. Usually, the PAs need to operate at nonlinear region to achieve high efficiency, which will incur not only the in-band distortion, but also the out-of-band OOB spectrum regrowth [ 3 ]. To overcome this problem, the digital predistorter DPD has widely become a crucial block in modern wireless transmitters [ 4 ], as shown in Figure 1 b. This module can effectively remove the nonlinear distortion with very high accuracy but low cost. With the development of DPD technique, many effective models have been proposed in recent years [ 5 ], such as dynamic deviation reduction-based Volterra series model DDR [ 6 ], decomposed vector rotation-based model DVR [ 7 , 8 ], memory polynomial model MP [ 9 ], and generalized memory polynomial model GMP [ 10 ].

The proposed circuit consists of a transimpedance amplifier (TIA) and the main transimpedance gain of the circuit over a wide bandwidth.
