The one thing I ve liked about designer Mike Creek of Creek Audio
First impression: The Destiny is much better than my SE in every aspect. The high has more air, and it is more extended. There is also more clarity and detail on the whole frequency spectrum. Bass is more firmed and control on the Destiny, too. The Destiny sounds more than powerful than the SE. The only thing I don't like is the treble is a little bit bright.
However, considering the amp hasn't been break-in yet, I think it'll be ok later on. Like they don't give discount price, and they only carry a limited number of brand. I just got a Destiny from my local dealer. They let me to try it for a month before I return it back to them. The unit is brand new.
I'm breaking-in right now. It's because I cannot find the gain board for the preamp in my area Although my local dealer can order it for me, but no return if I don't like it. I'm afraid my CDP cannot drive both amps without it. I live in a very sad place for Hi-Fi. There are limited numbers of dealers around my place within 50km , and usually they only demo the super expensive stuffs.
I don't want to buy equipment without listen to it. Like the Destiny, I've been waiting for my local dealer to get them for over a year so that I can listen to it before purchase. Sometime I wish to come back to Hong Kong. I know the Creek SE and the Signature are in different class. I've been waiting for Creek P53 and A53 to biamp my S, but they never release them. Now, I'm thinking upgrade to Destiny. On this coming Wednesday, I'll ask a dealer to lend me the Destiny back home to try it out.
Hopefully, it can drive my Sign well. I have a SE int amp. I am thinking about upgrade it to destiny, but I don't know does it worth the upgrade. Has anyone compared these two? With Destiny integrated amplifier and triwireable speakers and you can bi-amp the speakers - control the sound and drive the high and mid frequencies from the Destiny Integrated Amplifier and drive the lower frequencies from this Creek Power Amp.
