Andy Ely. Jeremy Smith. As a US citizen it's definitely a big issue that you noticed about how much power we waste. Thank god for all the advancement and distribution of the led lights. Good work on the videos you have created for those of us interested in learning more about electronics.

I'm new to your channel but I will continue to study them. With the vernacular you speak with I can tell that you have a lot of knowledge to share. Zahar Dulce. Thank you! Max Barlow. I would have guessed it halves consumption but it reduces it to a fractional amount, any idea why this is? It's criminal that all this is free! So much info, much appreciated! I have a question I am new to electronics and I need help with the situation I have an electronic component that draws 1.

Also if I have 5 circuits drawing 1. Charles Bronsen. Hm thats easy to understand. You multiply the 24mA with 24 hours n the result is called amphours. Amphour has nothing to do with amps per hour.

Richard Lingard. Jon Bon. We don't need to watch power consumption. That's such a pussy idea excuse the comparison. I believe that humans are incredibly innovative and that we will easily continue to advance technology to the point where we'd be crying laughing at your statement of the lights like how right now the amount of power going to 1 home could have back then powered an entire town of people.

And I believe this resourcefulness is driven by need so while your energy conservation ideas may be noble, I doubt people will listen because there seems to be a lot who ignore them completely such as forgetting a light in a closet on for a month til they open it again, etc.

But in the end don't worry, we will advance and harvest the sun's energy. Right now we could likely power an entire household on 5 sq ft of ground that the sunlight hits but we just need a way to harvest it.. Dylan Sapp. Hi there, just a quick question. Shouldn't these numbers be mtiplied by as well to determine the consumption per hour? Edo - DiY. You man is the real deal. I'm planning on starting a project, and every one of your videos in this series answers a very critical question. I don't think words can explain how appreciative I am to have found your channel.

Thank you from the deepest bottom of my heart. Keep up the amazing work! Alex Yurchenko. Thank you for your excellent well thought out video i can acually learn from:. How ironic your comment on GP as implicit immorality through omission of easy accessibility to the truth the super minutia of print 12 millipoint hours of type. You illustrate Donald Trump as an archetype for corporate culture years before any ability to do so by experience. Yea, in the future GP will be the truth so be irrelevant what you buy in terms of the benefit the consumer receives.

His p is silent. Hugh Murray. Chuck Fresh. I wish all of KZitem was this helpful. Great work. Liked and subbed. Retro Marky. Nice tutorial. Without doubt power consumption is vital on the modern world.

Anil S. Thanks for coming up with "power consumption episode". Shows your extra concern for learners. Messaoudi Karim. Karmic Beats. The use of E is more consistent if you are going to use I and R. E, I and R are symbols for that which is being measured. V, A and The Ohm symbol, are symbols for the units of measure. I have hugged trees. They never hug me back, but I am sure they love me back. Rod Christopher Pelina. Best Electronics learning course on the Web.

I never understood the concept as clearly as I understand now. Thanks a lot. Weston Osborne. I feel that i'm missing something assuming that the equation for power happens to be the power consumed in an hour of use. Nita Vesa. While I do like your videos, the "tree-hugger" comments come off as you ridiculing people who care about environment-issues. Sure, people who go totally overboard are one thing, but in general caring about environment should be a positive thing, not something to ridicule.

Anthony Miller. Let me see if I can word this as simple as possible and you can let me know if its a very good explanation and or wording of the relationship between voltage, Amps, watts and ohms. Say we take a 9V battery and connect a wire to the negative and positive side, we get a spark and most likely the wire breaks.

What is actually happening is we have very little resistance for the flow of electrons and the wire can't handle the amount of electricity flowing from one terminal to the other terminal.

So when I'm making an electric circuit, how do I know what kind of wires to use length, width and do I really have to take into account even the very small resistance that the wires have? Shameeha Ajmal. Riley Hinend. Volcom Stone. You have the absolute most amazing videos for walking someone through this step by step.

Your a life saver, no pun intended. Or maybe it was? Luis Trujillo. You are a very effective instructor. Ariel Oxford. This is great! You are a fantastic educator. Thanks for doing this. Asperix x.

Gr8 b8 m8 no h8 s0rry 4 BEEing l8 pls dn't t3ll k8 alr8 n8? Chain Hong Lim. Thank you for your explanation, really enjoy you channel :. Mrigendra Chauhan. Sam Keith. Thanks alot for doing these videos, you are a great teacher.

I know this is possibly a stupid question i'm extremely new to all this but what is the calculation to convert the I understand the decimal is moving 3 places but am confused about how to convert them. Thanks in advance. If you post it i'd be happy to donate by buying equipment from you. Pavan Vishwanath. You are Excellent at explaining.

The Op Amp is the first IC you will be using, so it will be necessary to practice attaching multi-pinned ICs to your breadboard. An Op Amp is a fairly complex circuit made mostly from Transistors like the ones you used in the last section and Resistors. Below is the full schematic for a common Op Amp Don't worry, even though you could build this from scratch, you won't need to, because all the circuitry is already contained in the IC chip! It is important to note that we already made an amplifier using Transistors and that the Op Amp uses the same types of transistors to make a more finely tuned and powerful amplifier. It is just the next step in the circuit progression. We will be using Op Amps in this section.
