He also said that combining two cabinets is better than combining a with a I was under the impression that a cab combined with a cab was a great combination, and because I have this combination, I was taken aback when I read this. However, after thinking about it, I remember playing my bass through an stack in a local music store and how I absolutely marveled at the incredible sound it produced. Way more power than I need.

Log in or Sign up. Gretsch-Talk Forum. New Avatar 4x10 Guitar Cab! Age: 40 I've decided to go back to a head and cab setup with my Bassman. Currently I have it set up in a 2x10 combo but I wanna push more air! I ordered a Traditional 4x10 guitar cab from Avatar, tweed covered.
Does anybody have personal expirience with this cab, I know they're fairly popular around here, if so could you help me out???? I would not suggest avatar for low end in a metal band. Sometimes I feel like the 2x12 neo muddies my E, and I even turn the bass down on my head. I would not buy another avatar cab.
