Elac and Quadral speakers produce more space. That might have sounded the death knell for me buying the Richness vs airiness, I think I prize the latter more. I am surprised to hear you have retained the Elac as your transducing mistress, and delighted to hear that it is performing better with the Marantz Pearls than the crap Linn. The Elac sound requires smooth, warmish partners to be at its most appealing. It would be ironic if you replaced the Harbeth with Elac, as I've just perused 6moons' latest review of a Harbeth speaker - the Beginning to dig the looks of the Handsome it is, but it isn't exactly small though.
