I think the amp and tubes are well broken in by now. Maybe hours. Definitely responds to break in time. Very satisfied with sound, with rolled in tubes.

I've been looking at a Line Magnetic but wasn't ready to take the plunge so bought the Reisong as a kind of placeholder. I'm using it with a pair of Klipsch RPM's which seem like a pretty good match. Out of the box the amp worked right away - no issues at all. It sounded a little veiled at first, but after about two weeks of break-in I never turned it off it sounds quite good! Bass is a little limited, but vocals, jazz, and even big band sound great. Lots of volume with the high sensitivity Klipsch's too.
Seems like an amazing value. Even if I ultimately get the Line Magnetic I'll probably keep this as a headphone amp.
I originally used the amp with the volume turned all the way up and used my Benchmark DAC as the volume control, but there was a small amount of hum, so now I use the Reisong as the volume control and the hum is no longer an issue.
I also like the fact that the power cord is detachable. I am so pleased with this amp that I ordered a matched pair of Tungsol's from Amazon. Seems worth the upgrade. On the downside there are only one set of binding posts per impedance per channel so not easy to bi-wire. I'll probably modify the amp by removing the 4 ohm outputs and adding a second set of 8 ohm posts for bi-wiring. For this low price seems ripe for other DIY experimentation too! Messages: 4. Hi all, I ordered one of these from Amazon on February 7 and received it March 20, better than expected considering the state of the world! It was easy to set up and gave me no trouble. No idea what the sensitivity of these speakers is but no problems with volume.
I ordered a pair of Tekton Mini Lore speakers at the same time as the amp but am still waiting on them. Can't wait to use them together. This system is replacing a pair of humble but great sounding Edifer powered speakers, so this is my first venture into setting up a nice-ish little system.
Haha, I know it's a little crazy for a first system, but I'm a guitar player and am a sucker for the romance of tubes. I'd guess I'm around hours in on the stock tubes. I listen to a ride range of music that is fairly rock-centric - surf, rockabilly, classic rock, punk, indie, ambient, folk, etc.
Overall the amp sounds good to my ears. I hear some distortion on a few records usually modern reissues and this thing is definitely not a bass powerhouse, but I knew that going in. It seems the most at home playing old Ventures records and such! I'm currently looking to experiment with tubes and ordered a pair of 12AX7 adapters, will be a little nervous about using them though.

Actually I was going for a Lyngdorf TDAI digital amplifier I know, a completely different option , but the deliverance of this brand new amp has been postponed for months. So now to try something different I got my mind tuned in to the A10, as an alternative setup, before I can get my hands on the Lyngdorf. Later it could be interesting to compare the sound from the two amplifiers. The woofer which serves as a mid-range is a tiny 5. But the A10 doesn't have a sub-out.
How can I get around this? I am willing to buy a separate power amplifier if neccessary, but how can I get the sub connected to the A10? And if this somehow is made possible, what then about not having the amp delievering bass signal to the sattelites? The Lyngdorf amp and others I have been looking at have an electronic crossover bas management so the sattelites only gets the treble and midrange signal. Great sound for the price I have been wanting to try a tube amp for a while, and this was the perfect way to go. It sounds really great. My speakers are Paridigm monitor 's so which are highly efficient, so the six watts is no problem for me. The only bad part is now I question if this sounds so good at this price level, what does the higher priced ones sound like?

The plexi setting on the amp now sounds incredible. These are well worth the money. I also used the Tung Sol 6l6's in my Mesa tremoverb head with great results. I purchased a Reisong A10 EL34 a couple of months ago and wanted to play around with tube rolling.

Schiit Loki is a four-band equalizer that lets you easily tweak the sound of your speakers, headphones and music. Tone controls and equalizers went out of fashion in the s, and I've missed them ever since. Audiophiles in their search for ever greater sonic purity saw any deviation from "flat" frequency response heresy, but that's not always my goal, so I was thrilled to check out Schiit's Loki four-band equalizer. Loki is a tiny thing, just 5 by 3. The knobs from left to right control and Hertz, 2- and 8-kHz, and the toggle switch on the front right engages the equalization in the up position, and bypasses the EQ in the down position. With the knobs set to their 12 o'clock positions they are "flat. It's a bit of a tight squeeze to get my fingers in there to turn the center two knobs.

LOG IN. I bought some LS speakers and have them setup very close to my work table. What I want to know is, why does it sound so good this close? I hear a soundstage with the singer for example right in the middle, very detailed and instruments scattered around that sound spacious and detailed. I play at pretty low levels, maybe thats the key. If I move the speakers farther apart or move further away the effect I described fades.
