Ue boom tv

Sure it's expensive, but it fills a niche that UE couldn't previously fill. This is a giant UE speaker stretched to its limits, but does that make it any good? The first thing you should know is that this thing is big. For the first time, UE went with a square shape for its speaker instead of a cylinder, and it works. Instead, this is the kind of speaker you want for a backyard or beach party.

UE Boom 3 Review

We purchase our own speakers and put them under the same test bench, so that you can compare the results easily. No cherry-picked units sent by brands. We've currently tested five Ultimate Ears speakers. Ultimate Ears is an American brand that manufactures audio products like speakers, headphones, and earbuds.

Their speakers tend to be very well-built and portable, making them well-suited for outdoor use. Also, many are compatible with the Ultimate Ears app, which has some sound customization features like a graphic EQ. Ultimate Ears speakers often don't have voice assistant support or Wi-Fi compatibility.

This well-built Bluetooth speaker is lightweight and portable, and it even comes with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, though we don't currently test for this. It has built-in support for Alexa over a Wi-Fi connection, which you can activate with your voice. It can understand you easily when you're far away, though it may struggle a bit to understand you in a noisy environment.

Out-of-the-box, it has a fairly neutral sound profile with a bit of extra boom in the bass. There's also a graphic EQ and presets in its companion app, letting you customize the sound profile to your liking. Thanks to its degree design, its soundstage is perceived as wide and spacious, and it can even play stereo content without downmixing it into mono. However, like many smaller speakers, it struggles to produce a punchy, thumpy low-bass. Also, its eight-hour battery life may not be long enough for some longer listening sessions.

That said, this versatile speaker is suitable for playing a variety of audio content, and you can easily take it with you on the go. With its Adaptive EQ room correction feature enabled, it has a somewhat neutral sound profile, making it suitable for listening to a wide range of music genres.

That said, it lacks some low-bass, so you can't feel the deep thump and rumble in bass-heavy music like EDM. Fortunately, its companion app features a graphic EQ and presets you can use to tweak its sound to better suit your preferences. This speaker can also get pretty loud with few compression artifacts present at max volume, so your audio sounds clean and clear during louder listening sessions.

Additionally, it has an outstanding battery life that can last over 23 hours from a single charge, though this can depend on your usage. It has a built-in carrying handle to help with transporting it, and it's decently well-built with an IPX4 rating for dust and water resistance, though we don't currently test for this.

Unfortunately, it doesn't support voice assistants, Apple AirPlay, or Google Chromecast, which may disappoint some users. That said, this portable speaker's neutral and customizable sound profile make it one of the best Bluetooth speakers that we've tested. It's outstandingly built, and you can carry it with one hand thanks to its small, lightweight design. It's rated IP67 for dust and water resistance, and the manufacturer even claims it's drop-proof from a height of three feet, though we don't currently test for these features.

There's a small built-in hook on top that lets you attach it to your bag. Out-of-the-box, it has a boomy sound profile, but you can customize its sound using the graphic EQ and presets in its companion app. Thanks to its degree design, its soundstage is perceived as wide and spacious from all angles, and it can even play stereo content without downmixing it into mono.

It can also get quite loud, though there are some compression artifacts present at max volume. Its battery lasts almost eighteen hours, so you don't need to worry about charging it too much when you're on the go. Unfortunately, it doesn't support voice assistants, and it isn't Wi-Fi compatible, so you can't stream audio over Apple AirPlay or Google Chromecast.

Out-of-the-box, it also lacks low-bass, which may disappoint fans of bass-heavy genres like EDM and hip-hop, though the EQ may help boost its bass production. Overall, this Bluetooth speaker has a portable design and is well-suited for outdoor use, and is one of the best UE speakers.

This colorful Bluetooth model has a small and lightweight design, and it comes with a carrying strap, making it easily portable. It's an incredibly well-built option that comes with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, and the manufacturer claims it floats in water, though we don't currently test for this.

Thanks to its over hour battery life, you can take it with you on the go without having to charge it too often. Its mid-range and treble range are well-balanced, so it can reproduce vocals and lead instruments accurately. Since it's a degree speaker, its soundstage is perceived as open and spacious from all angles, and it can even play stereo content without downmixing it into mono.

While it doesn't get particularly loud, there isn't much compression present at max volume, so your audio sounds clean and pure. Unfortunately, like many small speakers, it lacks low-bass, and it doesn't have any sound adjustment features like an EQ.

Also, it doesn't support voice assistants, and it isn't Wi-Fi compatible. That said, this portable Bluetooth speaker is suitable for many uses and comes at a more affordable price point. Overall, Ultimate Ears makes speakers that are generally designed for outdoor use. Many of them have IP ratings for water and dust resistance, and they're generally well-built.

Many of their speakers are compatible with the Ultimate Ears app, which has some sound customization features like a graphic EQ and presets. The Megaboom the Boom but bigger , the Roll 2 a current Award-winner and Megablast Megaboom with Alexa have all hit the mark since, and the Ultimate Ears Boom 2 is by no means the runt of the litter. It has now been succeeded by the third-gen Boom 3, but 's Boom 2 is still a great bargain if you're looking for a fun and affordable portable speaker. Ultimate Ears claims the speaker goes 25 per cent louder than the original Boom and has an improved wireless range of up to 30 metres. It's not cheap, nor is it light, but the Hyberboom packs some serious punch -- and it looks and sounds more like a real speaker. Ultimate Ears Boom speakers come in a few different sizes, but none as big as the Hyberboom. A supersize wireless speaker that tips the scales at a hefty 13 pounds, the Hyperboom makes the Megaboom 3 look unquestionably puny.

Boom 2 provides big sound from a stylish, waterproof Bluetooth speaker that can be used with two devices at the same time, and controlled using gestures.

I always come back to adidas Superstars for go-to, everyday sneakers, a Uniqlo ultra light down jacket for adding warmth without the bulk, and Mario Badescu Drying Lotion for zapping pesky pimples overnight, for just a few examples.
