Hi TiGuy I never had a model 23 tweeter to compare , as I built these by collecting assorted parts from the internet, but I did do a lot of research and think the phenolic ring tweeter is as close as I could get. The model 23 has an attenuator switch to help with balancing the sound output. I am very happy with the sound of these tweeters but am still looking for the correct ones.
