I'm looking for another monitor with at least 2 x HDMI ports and a DVI port, but it must have an audio-out option so i can connect my speakers directly to the monitor.
Will this be ok to use with a pair of external PC speakers? I'm asking this as i would like to use this screen with my PC, PS3 and Xbox and still be able to get decent audio via external speakers.

I tried using PC speakers through the headphone jack on my Acer screen and the sound quality is worse than having them plugged directly into my PC sounded quite flat and a bit tinny. Would a monitor with a proper "audio line-out" jack be better instead of a headphone jack? But it's not too off-putting it's most definitely not a 2ms screen as advertised on Scan. I've not noticed any input lag at all which is a very good thing!
The stand feels very cheap and flimsy causing the screen to wobble easily if my desk is knocked. The stand clicks into place using plastic tabs that look like they can easily snap!
I'm also not too keen on these glossy finishes that manufacturers seem to use a bit too much, but others may like it. They are extremely tinny and are annoyingly ear piercing when turned up loud.
I've heard better speakers on older and cheaper LCD screens my 8 year old 17" Relisys screen has much better integrated speakers. But for some reason my PC audio is very quiet and sounds a bit poor compared to having the speakers plugged directly into the sound card. My PC is hooked upto the monitor via DVI-D cable with a seperate audio cable going from the speaker-out port on my sound card to the audio-in port on the monitor.
The reaction time is far too slow and you can actually see the screen slowly dimming or getting gradually brighter when gaming!
It's also hopeless when it comes to displaying white text on a black background as it almost completely dims out the text! I'm not too sure if this feature has been poorly implemented or if i've received a slightly duff screen from Scan. Overall i'm happy with the image quality, colours and low input lag i didn't really need to adjust anything unlike most other monitors The build quality especially the stand could have been a bit better also.
The integrated speakers are just a waste of space and are not worth being there at all! I give this monitor a score of Last edited by PowerPie; at PM. The overdrive feature does indeed create a 'reverse ghosting' effect, but this is not apparent all the time. The ACR function still seems to be very iffy. I've updated my previous 'mini review' post to reflect these new findings. This Iiyama screen is supposed to be 2ms according to the description on Scans website which i find difficult to believe Using the overdrive feature is no good either!
