My little guitar amp sounds much bigger now and more expensive. A definite piece of gear to buy!
If you have to play quietly in your home, you must get this. Best recommendation! It is awesome. It alters the tone so badly on low to mid "speaker output" settings that the amp sounds really bad, like the cheapest overdrive pedal. Only being set to 5 which is max it sounds very close to original, but what's the point of it if I can't use it on lower settings? All these youtube videos praising this device is just plain lies. Instead a cheap 50 bucks volume pedal in effects loop does the trick and the amp sounds good.
I haven't tried its cab emulation features. Game changer! This thing sounds amazing right out of the box! It's completely changed the way I record and just can't say enough about it.
I'm looking forward to using it in a live setting where I can attenuate my head and run a line out to the mixer. Haven't even begun to play with the onboard effects yet. It's a great power soak, but that's all it does if you don't have the Apple gear to go with.
I bought this in March and I'm seriously annoyed at this point. The UAD marketing guys are doing a great job, but this product is a year in and still not ready for market. App is beautiful and works great. Have to concede that this thing is amazing. Presets - and there are far more of them than anticipated - are really great. Sound is incredible. It's a must have.
I would give it 5 stars but I'm still bitter that I had to miss out on the core functionality for 15 months or so given the delay in rolling out Windows support. Oh, and we still need some V30 cabs in the mix. Seems a strange oversight on their part. Only registered users can write reviews.

I just can't play my amps live and mike them at home, it's just to loud. This box has everything you'll need for recording and Live playing. Its has awesome miked amp combinations with preset or user adjustable tones and effects.
I might dump my huge pedal board, make a small one and use this onstage with my iPad tough screen to quickly change user preset amp combinations and tones. The box has a speaker out on it for live use with your amp or you could just go though in ears, fold back monitors and the main audience system with out and amp. It sounds that good. Happy times. Thats if you turn your amp up? Answer: Sustain is impacted by several factors, one of which is how loud the amp is coming out of the cabinet and feeding back into the pickups.
