Internal speaker beep disable
I have a problem with 5 beeps sound, and after replacing the CMOS battery, the beeps are still here So I'm not concerned so far why it still beeps, but i would like to know how to disable this sounds, at least temporary I can confirm that when i mute all sounds, using the keyboard button the beeps are also muted. How can i do the same thing but only for the 5 beeps? Open the Device Manager. Until the issue with the laptop is resolved, I would be extra careful to keep a separate backup of all data.

Thanks in advance. If you're computer is beeping more than once, there is a problem with your computer. Disabling the speaker would be hazardous to your computer. It's only beeping once, but it gets on my nerves whenever I startup, and it disturbs others around me when they're asleep.
What I'm saying is, if you diable the speaker, that is remove the plug for it from the motherboard, any time there is a problem, then you won't hear it and your computer could have more problems and you wouldn't know it. Not advisable to disable that speaker. How long is the beep? Is it one short beep or one long beep?
It shouldn't be that loud and the beep shouldn't last more than a second or two. If it's lasting longer than that, then there is the chance this is a problem beep and not your usual "everything is fine" beep.
It's the same beep I've always had, and it's always been loud, but too loud for my liking. I can understand that you are a newbie here, and I often come with problems. I've also come to learn that once you are given sound advice, pun intended that you will more than likely have a closed post. No one will even bother once you have been given the correct answer to your question.
Also I read the sticky's. The people here are giving their advice for free and have taken the time to answer your question.
Perhaps you can find your answer from the manufacturer if it's not a pc you or someone you know put together. The more information you provide, such as make, model, etc I, for one do not take kindess for granted.
And I've tried doing searches here and have sometimes found answers without asking, then again I know cybertechhelp rules!
The initial beep as I already stated should only last a second or two, and shouldn't be that loud. If it's not as I also stated, then there may be something going bad in your computer and disabling the speaker would cause worse problems. Also, just to clarify, you're not attempting to disable this beep so someone in your house doesn't know when you're turning on the computer?
