From the very sparse info I was able to locate on the web, Technics was apparently taken over by Panasonic at some point, and neither site has any info on these 2 components that I could locate. Both appear to be in pristine shape, however it's a little flaky trying to figure out how to set up the amp for surround mode with satellite rears.

Technics SU-G91 blown resistors. I have a Technics SU-G91 integrated amp that im doing a pre-out modification on. I removed the amp, then when i turned it on to test it, i noticed a smell and some smoke coming out of it. Long story short i discovered that 2 resistors look blown R and R I had originally removed the amp and heatsink, not realizing there is 3 transistors connected to the heatsink. Would this have caused the resistors to blow? I put the heatsink and transistors back in, now my question is what will happen if i turn it on with blown resistors? Since these are in the amp section which is removed, will the rest of the unit function like it should?
