One of my favorite things about the audio biz is that anyone with a dream and a garage can get in. Unfortunately, a few would-be entrepreneurs skip that all-important first step. When he finally got to the point where he was satisfied with his designs, he started to produce and sell them. His company now builds speakers in the old Brooklyn Navy Yard, which has become a hotbed of artisanal manufacturing. But unlike most products that show up in electronics store ads, the Gibbon 88 is in no way generic.

With surprising extension at the bottom yes, someone asked where the sub was! In the end I am purchasing the review sample. There's splendor in this grass. The sound was unforced, with top-octave ease and space galore on the snare-drum rimshots. Cymbals in particular had superbly natural texture and HF extension. The sound was thoroughly modern and among the Best Rooms at the show. An immersive musical experience rarely experienced with most audio systems. Extraordinary dynamic ease. Are their placement needs similar? Due to my room configuration, with electronics on the front wall, the speakers are near 2 meters from the front wall. Is this a problem for one of those speakers?
