Although these aren't show stoppers they're nice to have especially for the price I've seen c As per drummerman Hegel are well worth a look. There are some ex-demo Hegel Rost on eBay for a little over your budget I'd probably be looking at the H though really, which rather blows the budget! Lots of power needed. But a demo before you buy as the ATC 11 are very fussy. Both include streaming, nad has Dirac and Lyngdorf room perfect for room EQ.
I think the best thing to do is get yourself down to a couple of shops and let your ears decide. If necessary take your speakers with you or better still arrange a home audition. I'm in no way dying to spend that amount of money, I'm just saying it's available if required. I had a demo of the C in Wetherby and it sounded very bright, but the room was awful with air con kicking in noise from the other room so it made it not worth while. So few allow home demo's these days as well, tempted to look into the lyngdorf though, although I don't think it's out yet is it?
