I have decided to go for a Arcam to replace said I have always wanted Arcam but felt it was limited ny it's functions, however, after going through two ' in two wekks, I say "Give Me Quality!!

Last time was a hoot when one of them realised I had ordered the CD36 over the CD, lots of hand pumping. It makes the moment rather special actually. I'm not overly technical but it reassured me that their 4ohm option is a properly engineered one and the amp section would be fully stable with a 4ohm load, so should suit your speakers well.
Minor note, trust the switch labelling on the back of the unit as for the AVR at least, the manual shows the switch orientation upside down. The Arcam ran for 13 hours straight at moderate to high gain without breaking a sweat. The top of the case was barley warm. My AVR owners manual has the impedance switch labeling reversed, so take care to visually select this setting. Be sure to connect an s-vid or composite cable from mon-out to your display to view the set-up menus 'on screen display' - it will not transfer via hdmi.
