Found a used pair of NHT Super Zero bookshelf speakers for a really good price and was wondering what anyone here thinks of those for a secondary set of monitors. All the HiFi reviews of them are stellar with the one weakness being light in the bass.
I've got a set of Event Studio Precision 8 for my main monitors but want something small to check mixes on. Also I find that the SP8's need a bit of volume to sound their best and want something else that will be engaging at lower volume levels.
My Studio. They are the epitome of near-field monitors. Add a sub and you have a very nice monitoring system. On their own, don't trust what you hear below about hz too much. I have a pair of NHT M passive monitors. These were built with parts from the earlier NHT speakers with retuned x-over and cabinet. The later models with the Seas aluminium tweeters imaged a little better.
