I don't know if I ever fully related to you just how effective they were, so let me take just a minute or two of your time. I have played with literally hundreds of equipment and speaker stands over the past three decades, but until I heard, or to be more accurate - didn't hear, the Sistrum stands, I would not have believed that "mere" equipment stands could afford such a positive sonic transformation. We set up our total system on the carpet covered concrete floor of the suite, hooked it all up and let it run from early Thursday through mid Friday to get everything "warmed" up.

Within the last year alone we ended up reviewing five of them, and that is a lot considering the narrow price range. In this article, we will compare the speakers that we looked at in this category. However, this is not a shoot-out article where we determine which is the best since they all have different strengths and somewhat different design goals. Rather, we will take an overview of the different speakers and allow the reader to determine which best suits their desires.

LOG IN. View entire discussion. Edit Delete. Kthomas: As a dealer for Talon, I can tell you I have used the KhorusX's in both very large rooms and very small rooms. As with any speaker, a large room will pay big dividends in terms of openness and staging, while a small room tends to be easier to setup. The Khorus X works incredibly well in both. I have a customer running them in a room that is 11x18 and the sound is world class. Since you're a dealer and obviously have a bias towards the product you sell which is okay - you need sell products you like - I fail to see the point of this post. Kthomas, The Khorus X works well in just about any environment.

Also, the two rear long vertical aluminum corner pieces on both speakers are very slightly loose. One of the grills is also very slightly curved, preventing two of the magnets from engaging, but not preventing the grill from staying on the speaker. The grills have holes in the corners. Lastly, one tweeter has very subtle signs of previous indentation. This item does show a few blemishes but is attractive overall and has been well cared for.

Audio Forums. Anybody know anything about these speakers? I've never come across the company Talon Audio before, but I'll start doing some research in a moment to see what I can glean. I'm sure someone like Merlin probably knows a thing or two!
