But there is also another important element which is often overlooked. The type and configuration of speakers you are running in your combo amp or cab is what can make or break the sound. Look at it this way. Great thing about guitar speakers is that you can change them As a matter of fact, many people do.
This is already entering a very specific amp tuning territory. However, sometimes it comes down to pure necessity. Speakers, just like any other piece of tech, are known to fail from time to time. Instead of going out and buying a whole new amp, you could just take out the broken speakers and replace them with a new set.
When it comes to aftermarket speakers, WGS ET is one of the most cost effective options at the moment. WGS, or Warehouse Guitar Speakers is a small company out in Kentucky, which produces a variety of hand made guitar speakers.
The town they are in is known as the speaker manufacturing center of hat part of continental US. Needless to say, them and people they are surrounded by definitely have the knowledge necessary to create some impressive speakers. The one we are looking at today belongs to their British Invasion series.
This is apparent both from the way this speaker is made, and the type of tone it offers. Since Warehouse Guitar Speakers makes all of their speakers by hand, you can expect to get great build quality as well as reliability.
ET is rated at 65 Watts, and comes in several impedance versions. There is 16 ohm, 8 ohm and 4 ohm variant available. Installation is pretty simple, and can be done with little to no effort. The resonant range you can expect from the ET is Even though this speaker weighs 10 lbs. This is because the overall performance of the ET is streamlined toward that type of sound on purpose. We are talking about very soft lows and crisp highs. This contradicting combination is only complemented by a very well defined mid range.
The light weight cone Warehouse Guitar Speakers installs on these speakers ensures a very quick response. This translates to a very active sound that just flows. On the contrary, these are pretty flexible. The only thing that might not sit right with ET are high amounts of gain. But that depends on several things. Generally, Warehouse Guitar Speakers ET is a great replacement for more than just the G model of Celestions, it can actually cover a wider range of these legendary speakers.
A good sound is always worth an investment, that is for sure. Only thing you need to be careful about with these speakers is to break them in properly. If you overload them right away, you can irreversibly damage them. When you go out to buy a speaker and you find out it is hand made in United States, you know you are dealing with quality.

It is very well made, it sounds right away, lapped or not. My favorite hp with Creamback G12M65 Celestion. Accurate and creamy treble this WGS these big bass and warm and round this side dug medium is perfect to my ears sound discs There is the medium, but it is not colored, it is, well, neutral.
Avoid with an amp can be too bright, though It opens the sound is great with humbuckers, it has its addictive jazz. Crunch, it's a "modern blues" that I love! In comparison with the original Celestion G, it has less mids much lessit is less sensitive, so better at low volume. The true sound probably better big crunch, but my fragile little ears prefer the low sensitivity of WGS. Did you find this review helpful? In any case, it has the mouth, all white bowl and weighs his weight! The ET65 is primarily an HP extension office.
He reports good bass and treble but it has a pronounced hollow in the midrange. This is a rather neutral HP "complete" your sound. I have a pair of Celestion G65 in excellent condition with media sound too dark for my taste, not to resell. The equation is therefore better for cheaper so my Celestion be sold.
This is only my responsibility and does not affect the score I give but then I discovered the WGS Retro 30, which has nothing to do with Vintage 30 in who you know. I would have been even more appropriate. To discover Cookies help us improve performance, enhance user experience and deliver our services. By using our services, you agree to our use of cookies. Never even heard of the Tonespotter. Have you used either the Tonespotter or the ET, or heard them in other rigs? But will check them out, maybe on Youtube. I've got 2x12 CX style cabs loaded with V30s now. One for each amp, and a 4x10 A cab in the works. But the 65 watt 12s are an interesting option as well. G12 M should be nowadays the Creamback. G original or G Heritage are different. Like a stiff Greenback with a bit more low-end extension.
Of course age matters here as it's well broken-in. Nice, deep low-end, moreso than the WGS or Creamback. Slightly more high-mid 'tone info' on mine.
I really liked the WGS in my vertical 2x12 in the top position, above a Vintage 30, but since I got the G Heritage in that position, I really love that cab now! Messages: 1, So we've all heard people say things like, "like a greenback but more middy" or "just a higher watt version of a G12H" or "its more this or that than a Celestion V30". Is the Warehouse ET65 so good that it should now be counted among those things that are always getting compared to?
I've moved one around in my tone lounge pairing it with other speakers, different amps, open or closed back cabs Just typing out loud. Sep 7, 2. Messages: 14, The ET65 is a great sounding speaker. It's supposed to be a clone. The was supposed to be a higher watt Greenback. I have an ET65 paired with a vintage re-coned in my Glaswerks cab. Wonderful sounding speakers and cab. Sean FrenchSep 7, Sep 7, 3. Messages: 2, I use a green baret and Have a Green back and have tried the ET The green Baret is pretty close, the 65 is a more middy w less high end, and the GB is the sweetest.
This is not my opinion, this is fact! LOL They are all great speakers. ToneseekerSep 7, Sep 7, 4. Messages: 12, Those guys seem to be making good stuff these days and I think the is a speaker that could benefit from further development, so. Wait and see!

Anybody use WGS speakers?
A Forum for Gear and Music Enthusiasts. For all discussions about electric, acoustic and bass guitars, guitar amps, effects, modelers this is the place!!!!! I liked them a lot. It was also nice to run H30 styled speakers with a W Diezel. The "harshness" of the Celestions is what makes them cut so well in a mix, IMO. Based of clips I would not gopher it. It sounds nothing like a G12H

I've been contemplating swapping out the Greenback in my Mojo 4x I've wanting more speaker headroom and a more defined lowend, but I still want a little of the warmth and crunch the Greenbacks get. How do they compare to Greenbacks? I think WGS has a high powered greenback called the Invader
