The speaker concept set out transparent and natural sound as the goal, and the achievement of the end result is widely acknowledged. By the time BBC speakers reached the end of their broadcasting life I worked in my capacity as Resource and Development Manager to look at their replacements. Rogers dates back to and has been bought and sold several times over the years. There are sometimes drawbacks to larger speakers, of course, because more bass tends to create more room-induced problems. Moreover, cohesiveness may become a problem often in the vocal band. Fortunately, these fears were unfounded in this case. If I am going to spend months listening to a speaker it has to get the midrange right.

It is one of the best speakers on terms of value for money, durability and sound quality. They are bulky but the sound quality is pure and neutral, they can handle pretty much any music and speech. I can highly recommend them, especially from this seller.

The challenge was to recreate it in a form that has all of the essential qualities of the original design while using modern design and manufacturing techniques to avoid the longevity issues inherent in the original design.
