We suspect that, whatever it is, there's something a bit special in here! The TC Dark Matter is a highly dynamic, responsive distortion that has gain for days, and retains all the bass and clarity of your signal when it's on.

Awesome range of sounds from gentle overdrive through to a hard rock distortion. Probably not extreme enough for metal though. Sounds amazing!!! The general output of the pedal requires the level knob to be always almost at full, leaving not much room. Build like a tank, fantastic sounds, can serve as a booster with the gain turned down to minimum.

For the price, it's a very good sounding pedal, does anything from crunch, blues to hard rock heavy metal, that's the reason I got it. For Deathmetal I will use my amps dirt channel and can use Dark Matter to push it a bit more, back to the clean channel you will have a nice overdrive with pedal on same settings. Works better with bass knob on max Just what I wanted and a great price, whats not to like. This seems a good pedal. Strong construction and switches seem pretty tough.

Time will tell how well it colours the sound. First impact is great, price is awesome and feels good! Needs more time to play with it!
