There's very few interview snippets from the man himself, it seems like he wasn't very talkative person in a first place, but Ibrahim manages to interview a lot of people who have actually met and worked with Bryn along the years. The author even visits his past home where his dad still lives or lived at the moment of writing the book and manages to take a quick look into his room and interview Bryn's family members. The only disappointments are that I wished there was much more pictures of the cover art, inserts etc.

A seven-inch picture-disc vinyl release encased in a clear plastic cover the speed is 33 rpm , Minaret-Speaker is a quick but worthy snippet of Muslimgauze. It's very much like many Muslimgauze songs from the early s, but with an extra feeling of creepiness to it. On the flip side, "Black Aba" works with a distorted rhythm riding on top of some other loops and some random static blasts, while "Bamboo Bound" consists of a variety of wind instrument loops, sometimes clear and sometimes heavily treated, set against a gentle synth line.

Listeners who know much of anything about Bryn Jones ' work as Muslimgauze know that he was prolific in both his work and in the way he sent out his work to labels and other interested parties. Fittingly enough for an artist that feverishly productive and often taciturn to the point of frustration, he didn't tend to give much more information than handwritten track titles on the sleeve of a DAT. Why he would submit multiple copies of the same or similar tracks to those he worked with, often in totally different configurations, is now a permanent mystery, but it does lead to Jackal The Invizible , essentially a compilation of material from multiple other releases that Jones had also submitted at the time on its own DAT.
