It was all so much, so fast, but she was trying to do her best to keep up. Although she had been speaking English for the last five or six years, sometimes she still found it challenging to keep up when people were shouting so quickly at her.
She smiled at flashing camera, trying her best to keep her cool and not let her nerves show. When he saw that she was okay, he felt relief as he gave her a small nod. All these people are getting a little overwhelming. Sometimes it helps to just tune everyone out. Sebastian always seemed on top of it though - taking the lead and directing the question to himself, but never in an awkward manner. She nervously peaked at Sebastian, who pressed his knee against hers in a reassuring manner. Shifting nervously in her seat, she cleared her throat.
As she was doing so, Sebastian covertly leaned to the side and in his chair and whispered the question back to her in Romanian, just so she could hear. He always managed to help her out and kept her grounded. She was so sure once his career had taken off, he would leave her behind. He was now a huge celebrity with a very dedicated fanbase, while she was still an up and coming actress from a small town in Romania.
Who would care about her? He did. They had met when he was back in Romania promoting a film, when he had spotted her filming scenes for a Romanian television show. Plus, the way she had dropped her prop midway through a scene and completely forgot her lines were pretty endearing too. But somehow, he had asked her out on a date, like a gentleman.
He was sweet and kind to her, taking his time to get to know her and eventually they had ended up as a couple. It was hard at first, since he was shooting frequently, but they made it work for several years. And now, they lived together in New York and had the privilege of working on a big budget film together. It was basically a dream come true. Sometimes she wondered why he was still with her. He could easily have any woman he wanted, but he chose her.
He was always so patient, kind, and lovely - she wondered how she could be so lucky to have him. She looked over at him, a smile slowly spreading on her features. Probably the luckiest guy in the world.
He gave her an inquisitive look, wondering where the question was suddenly coming from. He touched her cheek gently before she leaned up and and sat on the opposite side of the couch, waiting him intently.
