Thank You! You answered a question I was not able to find an answer to. I recently purchased the Marantz SR and I am absolutely blown away by the 'musicality' of this receiver!

If music matters to you at all than this is the receiver brand to get I then went one step further and got Dirac room correction Honestly I fought with Audyssey for months trying to get the 'right' sounding calibration. I tried mic positions, the app, etc. It sounded pretty good but I just knew it could sound even better.

So I bit the bullet and got Dirac. I run all sources through my computer where Dirac lives Man I can't emphasize enough how much better my system sounds now. Accurate would be the best way to describe it. Wider and deeper soundstage. Tonality is true and beautiful. Music if full and focused and there's enough bass right out of the chute and never too bright.

Just sounds very very real. Simply cannot go back to Audyssey. I tried during my Dirac trial period but came running back to Dirac. Seriously It ruined me! Great sound. Terrible remote control and software. Since then, many things ocurred and had no time to thank Phil Hinton for this excellent review that, in the end, convinced me to upgrade my home theater. The Marantz is just fantastic in its price range.
