The Global Game Jam is a yearly event that unifies professional, student and hobbyist game designers in an international unified effort to create game experiences based around a central theme, which changes every year. It brings together creative minds to share experiences and express thoughts, ideas and sentiments through the medium of video games. The weekend stirs an international, creative buzz in the industry, exploring the process of game development in every aspect, including programming, iterative design, narrative exploration and artistic expression. Condensed into a hour development cycle, the GGJ encourages people of all backgrounds to participate and contribute to the spread of game development and creativity in an open, non-competitive atmosphere.

Global Game Jam 2020 Has Begun!
For the 13th! Where : Online this year! In a game jam, participants come together to make a video game. Each participant joins a small team at the jam, and over a couple of day period creates a new, unique and creative video game according to the rules of the jam. Game Jams are a great way to meet other developers, beef up your resume, or just learn what it takes to make a game.
Teams need designers who can come up with a creative game idea according to the jam constraints, artists, programmers and testers, so there is something to do for participants at all levels of experience.
The Global Game Jam takes place in the same few days all over the world! Last year had hundreds of host sites across the world. All participants in the Global Game Jam will be constrained by the same theme and set of rules. After the theme is announced, participants will have the chance to brainstorm game ideas and pitch them to other participants to form development teams. After a few mad days of game development, all the games are demoed and submitted to the global game jam site.

Hello Everyone! Today on this blog I make my 30th post. It has been a ride! I came, I saw, I blogged. Going into the future we are 10 post from our 1 year anniversary. This report is in the words of the representative of the organising commitee.

Global Game Jam Site Registration Deadline
Each year, the event takes place simultaneously around the world during a weekend. Participants met via Zoom before breaking into groups on Discord, a group server with chat and voice channels. This year, more than 25, game design participants registered in jam sites located in countries. At USG alone, there were 50 participants, which consisted of designers, animators, programmers, and writers.

Between January 26th - 31st, , jammers will be making games in more than sites in 60 countries! Jupiter Hadley is a games journalist and YouTuber who specializes in smaller indie games. She loves game jams and devotes all of her time to covering and discovering indie games. She has co-founded IndieGames.
Malta Global Game Jam 2021
Global Game Jam is a yearly, worldwide event that focuses on interacting with others to create a board or video game based on the given prompt and theme for the year. As a site, Stevenson held its Jam from Jan. The event can take place in any type of location. In , there were around 55, participants in over locations, in more than countries, from Japan to Australia to Scotland. This event often takes place in early September, but can be held any time at the convenience of the host site. The goal of Global Game Jam is not related to the specific location, but rather focuses on participants coming together and working on a common goal. The event helps people understand how to work with others, simulating an actual real-life work experience. Stevenson has been hosting this event for four years, and Nyland relies on a few other faculty and staff members to help as hosts.
Global Game Jam encourages teamwork
Global Game Jam is going to be held in Nepal. This the first time this event it being organized in Nepal. It is a hackathon focused on game development all condensed into a 48 hour development cycle. The goal is to come together and make a video game based on the common theme which is revealed on the event day.

The event will be live streamed globally to the other Global Game Jam locations. Plovdiv Game Jam is a game development event , where people meet for a weekend and create games together. The teams work from Friday to Sunday on their games and present on Sunday to the whole jam.
Global Game Jam Nepal 2016 – World’s Largest Game Jam Event in Nepal
The hour event will start at 5 p. Friday, Jan. Sunday, Jan. All levels of game developers are welcome to join this free weekend of game creation. Collaborate with others by using drawing, animation, sound or coding skills to build a game during the three-day event in conjunction with the Global Game Jam.
The Global Game Jam is on this weekend! This year six new countries have joined the GGJ family, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Cyprus, Sudan, Benin and Mauritius with currently over 30, jammers registered in jam sites across countries.
