High Quality Crossover Network: the com puter-optimized dividing network employs up to thirdorder 18 dB per octave crossover sections. Magnetic Shielding: prevents stray magnetic fields from creating any interference or distortion of the video picture. This allows placement of the SC directly on top of, or directly below the video monitor.

Cabinet Design: the multi-angled cabinet provides options of locating the SC directly on top of the video monitor or on the floor in front of the monitor. PLACEMENT As the center channel contains the dialog and other central action sounds, the speaker should be located very close to the video monitor centered with the monitor's center line. The SC can be placed in two locations: 1 On top of the video monitor.

Place the large flat bottom of the speaker directly on top of the monitor, with the front edge of the speaker grille flush with the edge of the monitor. This will help maintain proper signal balance. Twist each set of thin wires into a tightly-bunched spiral. At this point you need to identify a visual difference between the two conductors of each molded pair of speaker wire.

I've already got a discussion going with pictures of the speaker in question on the AVS forum, but that group is more cut from the "buy a better speaker" cloth than "fix this speaker" cloth. I have also put a slideshow of all the pictured I took which taking this speaker apart on YOUTUBE I would love to get some suggestions from those in the know on this forum as to how I might go about improving the acoustic performance of this nice looking enclosure by either tweaking what's inside or replacing what's inside. No worries, I know how to use a screwdriver, glue gun and soldering iron.
