After some discussion, the modification into Pro Bias is executed. A couple of weeks ago I received an email from an old friend and bandmate regarding his Stax headphones. While my friend loved the sound of the two pairs of Stax he had, they were both no longer functional. His Stax SR had a broken yoke while his pair of original Lambda Signatures had a broken headband. He wanted to be rid of both of these earspeakers along with the SRM-3 headphone amplifier.

With this article, I am starting a collection of what I consider the most interesting, educational, and authoritivative readings about audio, being them reviews, phylosophies, or other subjects I might have not covered. The SRM portable amplifier, in stock version, has always been a bottleneck for the portable version of the tiny Staxes, and with the modifications, the overall sound is easily superior over the desktop version of the same earspeakers the SRSA.
