12 Easy DIY Speaker Stands That Do Improve Sound Quality

Apparently somewhere between measuring and cutting I usually make mistakes. So I used the dremel lathe attachment to clean up my cuts. The base should be cut from one piece of 1x8.

It should be 11" long. You need two. The top piece should be cut from 1 x 6, it should be 6. You need to drill 4 holes in the top and 4 in the bottom. I used a square to mark 45s from the corners to put the legs on. I then used the first one as a template for the rest of the pieces.

I drilled pilot holes in the legs so the wood did not split and then screwed it all together. Question 12 months ago. Good job. Then drill a hole for the wires in the back of the top plate. I gotta say, those looks pretty nice, I bet making a pair of those would look sweet in a nice cherry hardwood.
